Air tools with quick disconnects get borrowed by anyone across the shop and never come back to their home station, so the next operator hunts for a missing tool or finds the station short.
Instead of putting quick disconnects on the tools, the team plumbed each tool permanently to its station so it physically cannot be unhooked and carried away. They also added a filter, regulator, and oiler system on the back to condition the air supply.

What is a Fix Tools to Stations to Stop Borrowing and Misplacement?
This is a point-of-use tooling standard: every station keeps the specific tools it needs, permanently attached so they cannot be removed. For air tools, that means skipping the quick disconnect and hard-plumbing the tool to the station's air line.
Because the tool is captive, there is no way for someone on the far side of the shop to grab it "real quick" and forget to return it. The station is always complete and ready for the next job.
The setup here also includes a filter, regulator, and oiler (FRL) on the back of the unit, which cleans and lubricates the air feeding the fixed tools so they run consistently and last longer.
