Each weld plate had its own individual pattern. Storing, finding, and setting up a unique template per plate added handling, took extra time, and created chances to grab the wrong one.
The team built one reusable pattern that positions studs and hole layouts for the family of weld plates. The same jig sets up multiple plates, and it lets an operator grab and place several studs in a single motion.
