A pod is a dedicated container or cart that holds one job's insulation from the moment it is received until it reaches the site. Rather than dumping material on the floor and picking it back up multiple times, everything for a job lands in the pod once.
The pod is labeled a single time so its contents and destination are clear at a glance. It functions as both a storage unit and a transport unit, so no re-sorting or re-staging is needed downstream.
Because the pod stays sealed and identified, anyone can see what belongs to which job without opening or re-checking. It has been in place for several years, storing many jobs' worth of insulation in an organized accessory room.
